Ext4 now available as an install option

New process for Ubuntu membership

The ext4 filesystem is now available on Ubuntu server, and will be followed soon by the desktop edition.
Due to an increasing number of applications, the process have been updated.

Kernel 2.8.31 will go into Jaunty

After much considerations, the Ubuntu kernel team decided to use the brand new kernel. One of the reasons invoked is better wifi drivers in this release.
